Sunderland Illuminations Are A Wonderland
Sunderland Illuminations Are A Wonderland.
Yesterday we got back from Chester nr North Wales (another blog I guess). Because we got back in good time we decided to go and visit the Sunderland Illuminations which are located are Roker Park. You can go along and see them from 5pm – 9pm up until the 3rd November. The crowds were large and it was very difficult to get parked up but I guess it was worth the wait. It’s great to see these illuminations lighting up such a great historical park, you forget all about places like this. The theme is Alice in Wonderland which is set throughout the park, the boating lake was given an amazing facelift with a colourful fountain display which danced to the music. Obviously I took my camera along with the family and I took a selection of photographs which I have pulled together for you to see. Getting the correct exposures was fun to do in a hand held situation as you will see by some of the fountain shots, they aren’t as nice as I would like them to be, maybe a tripod would have been a good idea but when you’re with the family on a spectator mission you have to make the best of what you have. If you are thinking of an evening out with your family then it is a definite for you to go and see, you will be happy that you made the effort. So, below are a selection of photographs that I took last night and I hope that you like them, finished off with Archie and Mammy. Please go and visit this years Sunderland Illuminations, an added bonus to this great display of lights is it’s FREE to go and see. 🙂
