Quick Corporate Photograph For The Grocer Magazine
Quick Corporate Photograph For The Grocer Magazine.
You’ve Got To Be Ready.
It all happened so quickly but I guess that is what it’s like. I got a call around 10am on Monday morning from the PR at The Grocer Magazine asking for my availability on that day preferably in the afternoon. As luck would have it, that afternoon I would be free from 4pm. That time suited The Grocer Magazine too. They wanted me to go to the Sainsbury’s store in Washington (I live in Washington) and take a few shots of the branch manager outside the store with some signage in the background.
The Grocer Magazine sent me a brief run down of what they wanted, how many shots, the size of the photographs needed to be for print (300dpi), where to go and who to take the photograph of.
A Helpful Hint
A few weeks ago I was looking at some SEO to do with my website. It turns out I had never put my information onto Yell. Since doing this I have had some interest and obviously The Grocer Magazine opportunity would have passed me by.
I got to Sainsbury’s on time with my camera and tripod. My speedlite was in my case, just in case it was needed. Always be prepared! I introduced myself to the store manager, Gary Pearson who had luckily done this kind of promo shoot before. We went outside the store, it was a bit overcast but luckily not raining. I got the required photographs from my previous brief. I did use my tripod as I wasn’t getting enough light, so I thought I would play it safe. My camera settings were f9 in manual mode, ISO 100. My photography time was about 5mins. Done and dusted!
I have added the photographs below, see which one you would choose. At the bottom I have took a screen shot from The Grocers website using my image. I hope you like them?
