Event Photography – Chris Johnson Rihanna’s Drummer

Well I guess I will indulge you with some of my work which sometimes goes hand in hand with one of my pleasures (yes you guessed it, photography). So, yesterday we had quite a hectic day in store, we had a flying visit from Chris Johnson. For those of you who do not know who Chris is, he currently plays drums for Rihanna, he has also played for Stevie Wonder, Darius Rucker (Ex Hootie and the Blowfish) and many, many more. Anyway, Chris agreed to come into the store Drumshop UK before his concert at the Stadium of Light with Rihanna and give everyone a drumming masterclass where he showed off his drumming skills and techniques, then he took questions from his audience in which he told us of how his determination and dedication got him to where he is, playing with one of the biggest stars on the planet today.  All in all we had a great day with Chris who is a very genuine and humble guy… Here are a couple of photographs I took over the course of the day which I hope you like..? The first photograph is my favourite simply because it just pops out and is so sharp. If you knew the conditions of where they were taken I think you would be impressed too…  I guess I can call this “Event Photography”.. Please enjoy 🙂
