Bonfire Night Fireworks Photography.

Tonight I raced home to be with my family go to a neighbours bonfire night fireworks display of which I took a handful of photographs. I must admit, I have always wanted to take photographs of fireworks but for some strange reason, I just never have. Tonight was the perfect opportunity for me. I knew I needed my tripod and I knew I had to preset my camera and I will will let you know what my settings were.

Firstly, it was a bit of guess work as for the focal point where the fireworks were exploding but hey-ho. Secondly, my ISO was set to 160, my aperture varying from f6.3 to f8, and I set the mode to bulb but my shutter speed varied between 1.5 sec and 2.5 sec. The fireworks were probably not the best but they kept us all amused and gave us a great evening. This was also the first fireworks my 2 and a bit year old son has seen. At first he didn’t seem too impressed but towards the end he perked up and seemed to enjoy it.

The photographs that I have added are all  of fireworks. The first are of sparklers, which are always great to see and I think I captured them well. The latter were of the fireworks, I do like the coloured smoke that was also captured in the frame. Hey, see if you can figure out my neighbours name lol.. Anyway, I hope you like the photographs of our fireworks display in Washington Village too. Let me know what you think by adding a comment below if you want?? 🙂
